Bio:

Chance Shermet is a Toronto-based artist & designer who creates works intersecting the areas of object, sculpture, visuals and space. He recently completed the Industrial Design program at OCAD University in 2021 and has shown across Toronto at Artscape Gibraltar Point, DesignTO x OCAD U, J-Spot and Ignite Gallery.

Artist Statement:

Chance finds inspiration from morphing human culture and behavior, and natural phenomena. Objects are often used a lens to interrogate the dynamic relationship between nature, place, and people. Working mostly in natural materials, his work touches on themes surrounding the existential, social, and environmental issues we face collectively.
